Workplace Donor Resources

Partnership for Colorado
Since 1992 Partnership for Colorado has served to increase donor choice for Colorado employees. Our guiding principles of Community Collaboration, Member Inclusivity, Donor Directed Giving, and Commitment to Service drive us in managing effective, fulfilling, and impactful workplace giving campaigns.
Combining the nonprofit membership of the partner federations provides a comprehensive list of charitable choices reflecting the diversity of the modern work force. All Partnership for Colorado member agencies go through an annual recertification process including a review of the member's IRS 990, third-party audit, annual report, and the composition of each agency’s board of directors. The recertification process ensures donor dollars are going to effectively managed agencies. The Partnership provides resources and training to our member nonprofits so that they can continue to be amongst the best practitioners in Colorado.
Your Paycheck Contribution
Partnership for Colorado works directly with your employer to broaden charitable giving choices to meet Colorado’s diverse community needs. Paycheck contributions from your payroll department are received by the Partnership throughout the year and distributed to your desinated charities on a quarterly basis.
We encourage donors to choose the individual recipient charities of each gift. We believe that community members are the best people to decide which community needs their dollars will support. Through designated giving, each donor ensures his or her dollars are invested as intended. We set no minimum dollar amount per donation and honor all donor designations.
Transparency and Trust
Nothing is more important than your trust. Partnership for Colorado is committed to the best practices in workplace giving campaigns and managing all donations with financial clarity. The Partnership retains a campaign management fee on our annual net campaign total of approximately 15%. Our member charities are aware of this fee and recognize it as a low cost, highly effective opportunity to reach new audiences and donors.
Beginning in 2010, Partnership for Colorado is consolidating all pledge and financial management at Community Shares of Colorado. While your workplace giving campaign will not change, this will reduce PFC's administrative costs and improve your services.
Tax Deduction Eligibility
Donations made through workplace giving are eligible for a deduction on your annual income tax. IRS reporting laws require you to provide a copy of your pledge form, as well as a copy of your final paystub of the year showing the total amount withheld as a charitable contribution.
